Personal Training Personal Training sessions are designed specifically for you. Whatever your current level of fitness, health ,age or confidence I will work with you and motivate you to help you achieve your own personal goals. I will always try to make the sessions enjoyable and varied whilst also ensuring that you continue to progress and see improvements. There is no 'normal' number of sessions you need to do with me each week. This often depends on budget and time available. I can design a programme for you to do when you are at home or in your own gym so that you can continue to make improvements inbetween your personal training sessions. I am available for help, support and motivation via phone or e-mail .
Programme Design If you are already going to a gym, working out at home or want to get started on your own I can design a personalised programme for you to follow to ensure you are using your time effectively. I usually recommend you return for a programme update every 4-6 weeks. This ensures you continue to make progress and really helps with motivation.
Weight Loss If this is your goal then exercise is only part of the solution. Changing the way you eat, combined with an effective exercise program, will help you to lose the weight and keep it off. As part of your Personal Training I offer free nutrition and weight loss advice. This usually starts with you keeping a diary of everything you eat. I can then help you to make gradual changes to your diet that will help you to lose weight and improve your overall health. I am not a fan of 'fad diets' and I also realise that not everyone has the time to prepare everything from scratch. I will work with you to help you find a new, healthier way of eating that fits in with your lifestyle and is sustainable for life.
Group Training Training with a friend/partner or in a small group can be great for motivation and can help to keep the price down. You will still train to your own individual plan but may work through some parts of your session independantly, allowing me, your trainer, to spend 1- to -1 time with each member of the group.
Wedding Preparation Trying to lose weight or tone up in time for the big day? I can help, but as every bride is different, please contact me to discuss and we can put together a package to suit your time frame and budget.
Post-natal Exercise As a mother of 4 children and several years experience in teaching post natal exercise classes I can show you the safe and effective way of getting back in shape after having a baby. Many mums are eager to get back into shape after having their babies but doing the wrong kind of exercises can actually do more harm than good. Particular attention should be given to strengthening the pelvic floor and re-training core muscles in the post natal period. Although its always good to have a bit of 'me time', if you are struggling to find time away from your baby then I can structure the sessions to include them too.
